Saint John, #13

The waste tire as I found it in its unnatural habitat, March 25, 2006.

This is the first tire collected in 2006. I spied the tire as I walked along the top of the bank of the Green, just upstream of the walking bridge. I deliberated for a while, then decided to pick it up and carry it to the municipal trash can by the entrance to the walking bridge. I trust the city crews will haul it away for disposal when they make their rounds.

My thanks to the unidentified young lady, who was kind enough to commend me for fetching the tire and to take this picture. That's my biking helmet on my head.
